CVPH Junior Volunteer Program

News: "Wanted: Junior Volunteers
Friday, April 04, 2008
The CVPH Junior Volunteer Program is accepting applications from teenagers, age 14 and 18. Applicants must be available to donate at least 3 hours a week for six weeks beginning June 30. The deadline for submitting an application is June 6
CVPH Junior Volunteers receive a variety of valuable experiences. They'll learn what a career in health care can offer. They will see how respect, compassion and responsibility are integral parts of any successful endeavor, gain decision making and customer service skills and be mentored by skilled administrators and adult volunteers. Participants in the program volunteer on nursing units, in the Emergency Care Center and Ambulatory Care Center. They deliver flowers to patients, assist with clerical duties, spend time with skilled nursing facility residents and help at the FitzPatrick Cancer Center. Their days were full, enjoyable and interesting. Information about the program is available by calling Manager of Community Outreach Sandra Geddes at 562-7595 or email at sgeddes@cvph.org."
